First tree to flower!

The first tree has burst into flower at our new orchard. This was a pear tree brought along and planted by a friend of mine on the border of the new Lisnabreeny community orchard.

All the 300 native Irish apple trees in the orchard that we just recently planted are about to burst into life any day now.

Just from observing I can see that the altitude of this new orchard makes a difference to when they first burst into life, even though its only 140m above sea level it does make a difference.

Many of the same variety apple trees down at our other orchard more lower down have already burst into life. I think Phenology is the word for that. Amazing to watch and learn from....

Long after I'm gone people are going to be eating fruit from trees that I've phantom planted. Birds and other wildlife will be feeding on them also for many years after me. People will be sitting in the shade of oak trees I've phantom planted hundreds of years from now.

I never really thought about all this when I first started phantom planting. It must be one of the most beneficial things we can do with our energy and time is plant trees. Its a positive vibration that just keeps on going.

As I was walking around the trees yesterday connecting with them I was just thinking that in life we should not concern ourselves with what others are doing. Its what we are doing which is most important. Its so easy to let ourselves become infected and polluted by the negative energies around us and then all we are doing is unknowingly venting the same negative vibrations into the world.

There is a story about an angry monk who when trying to meditate the noise of everyone around him in the monastery annoyed him. So he took himself out to the middle of a lake to meditate in a boat. As he was sitting in a deep state meditating one day another boat crashed into him and he looked round in anger to see who it was only to find out there was no one and another empty boat had just blown into him. He realised at that moment that the anger was in him.

I think of this story all the time. It really does resonate with me, I have always suffered with anger problems and still do. Thankfully I'm nowhere near as bad as before.

But what I am learning in life is we all really need to get our own s**t together first and not be concerning ourselves with others. Sort our own issues and problems out before exposing others.

Maybe give some planting and chanting a go guys. See where life will bring you. Its brought me to a better place mentally and physically.

Peace and love
