What goes around comes around..
This morning in my meditation it just came to me how much Buddhism has given me the mental and physical space to be able to offer, to even have the capacity in my mind to think for the greater good and to have the physical health to carry it out was not possible aiming for me king rat on the monopoly board!
When I was locked in my own money driven greedy world the space in my mind was not there to offer any sort of help to nature, the world or the people around me.
I was caught up in so many self created problems. Like a spider caught in his own web is a person driven by fierce cravings is what the Buddha says.
Being caught in my cravings for money and self gratification was destroying my physical health at the same time too.
The last thing ever on my mind was planting a tree or helping the elderly . I was suffering the results of my own karma.
I heard a Guru say the other day that what we see in the world is our own karma being played out. The world is the cinema screen and our minds the projector. Looking back over my life I believe there is truth in this.
The Buddha says even the practice of generosity and selfless service is enough to create a better life. We dont all have to become monks or go and live in a monastery. These simple practices of generosity and selfless service are enough to ensure a good life here and in the next.
The whole of the system for me is Maras web, Left wing - Right wing, they are all under Mara the demons reigns.
Keeping us all locked into to these lower negative vibrations.
Every society and way of life in this world is still part of the same mother nature destroying ways and promotes all the same destructive behaviours. Its all part of the plan. Divide and conquer on a spiritual level.
What I love about the Buddha is he never tells us to believe in his teachings blindly. He wants us to question them, test them, to go and live and experience them and then make your own mind up. Buddhism wants you to be the best version of you!
I was thinking the other day, I dont think I'm ever meant to attain enlightenment and reach these higher realms
I think I'm meant to be right here in this realm for life after life as the Buddhas Delboy. For anyone who doesn't know who Delboy is, he was a very cunning dodgy salesman!
Everywhere I go I'm selling Buddhism.
My Delboy dad always said, "them Boodoos have you possessed son"....
Anyhow guys go phantom plant a fruit tree, help out in your community, get in touch with a dog shelter and see if they need help. Dogs are special.
Peace and love...
