The Phantom Planter was Born!

I started the Phantom Planter nearly 5 years ago just before xmas, before I started this page I went and said a prayer at Jampa Ling Buddhist Centre Co. Cavan and planted some juniper trees with a Tibetan Lama and asked him to say a prayer for the Phantom planter that I can make it a trend for people to plant trees, that I can help people change as individuals on how they respect nature!

I had brought along two Juniper trees to be planted and had lunch there, after we ate the Rinpoche / Lama (spiritual leader in Tibetan) said to me, grab a spade and the trees and we will go for a walk, I didn't say to him I had the trees but he already knew, other people at the centre were saying how privileged I was to be asked by him like that!

It was quite a special moment to be walking down a lane just me and the Rinpoche to look for a spot to plant, we found a nice spot to plant and we chatted about how its not up to anyone else to change our world, its up us to as individuals to change.

(Buddhism is about purifying yourself with the eightfold path and this can become contiguous, finger pointing, hating, exposing and blaming is poisoning ourselves and polluting the world with negativity.

The world needs a bit of Buddha now more than ever and I will never stop sharing whats brought some sort of harmony into my life among chaos!

After we planted I went back to the shrine room and said my Phantom Planter prayer to myself and it was,

"May the Phantom Planters butterfly effect create a ripple of love to become the virus of compassion"...

I have no idea how this came to my mind, sometimes when your put on the spot like that to pray in the presence of the Buddha's spirit's you gotta say something!

Anyhow I said it, came back up and setup the Phantom planter, one month later the Belfast Telegraph contacts me and wants to do a story, puts me on the front page of the paper next to the first person to get corona-virus in Northern Ireland!

I had prayed for a virus of compassion wearing a phantom mask, then we have corona-virus and the whole world was wearing masks, found this a bit weird!!!

Peace and love!

I challenge you to phantom plant a tree! Anywhere, anytime, any place.....
